Byron Robson

An experienced (former) Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record of success over a period of 30 years within the construction industry at home and abroad. Extensive experience with final account, claims and dispute resolution.

Byron started life in a contracting organisation working on a wide variety of building and civil engineering projects and then joined a house builder running small and large sites across South Wales. From there he joined Henry Boot before leaving the UK to join a Surveying Practice on secondment to an American petro-chemical contractor working off shore and then with a UK contractor on an island in UAE on a major infrastructure development programme.

On his return to UK he joined a regional road builder on several blue chip schemes on and around M4. Thereafter he joined a national contractor and was Project Surveyor on a number of hotel schemes. One of the schemes developed into a lengthy and complicated Arbitration which exposed Byron to his first formal construction dispute before setting up in Practice in 1990

The Practice acted as both Surveying and Management consultants for a variety of contractors and sub-contractors including American and German contractors needing reliable professional advice in an alien market. Further dispute work followed.

A keen follower of dispute resolution procedures involvement in his first Adjudication occurred almost as soon as the process was available . Since then Byron has acted both as witness for clients and as lead consultant engaging Counsel as and when required on Adjudications and Arbitrations.
